These bottles would make a nice serving bottle for sake. They could also be used as a bud vase or to store oil or vinegar. This bottle has a neck that's just a little too big for the pouring spout, but could be used with a cork instead. This pot has been thrown using a groggy terra cotta and decorated with a black and thick slip. It has been glazed with an amber ash glaze and fired high to 1220 degrees in an electric kiln.
