Fun and decorative, this citrus juicer works great for juicing limes, lemons, and oranges. I have taken extra care with its construction for easy juicing. The bulb is thrown separately and altered by adding extra clay to create a sharp edges to cut through the fruit. Then it is attached to the bowl and a filter added across the spout to stop seeds getting through. This juicer has been thrown with a grogged terra cotta and decorated with a thick white slip. It has been glazed with an amber ash glaze and fired high to 1220 in an electric kiln.
All of my work is handmade by me in my studio at the Gaolyard Studios in St Ives, Cornwall.
