These sweet little espresso cups and saucers are the perfect size for a double shot of espresso, with a little extra room for a small amount of milk. The cup sits nicely in its saucers with enough room for some sugar, a spoon and a biscuit. This espresso cup and saucer has been thrown using a groggy terra cotta and decorated with a black slip and hakeme. It has been glazed with a blue ash glaze and fired high to 1220 degrees in an electric kiln.
All of my work is handmade by me in my studio at the Gaolyard Studios in St Ives, Cornwall.
The cup is approximately 8 cm (H) x 5.5 cm (W) and the saucer 11.5 cm in diameter.
