Inspired by my Tennessee heritage, this large flask has been thrown and altered into a classic flask shape. The wire swing top clasp is also handmade by me to insure the best fit possible and to allow for a cap that matches the flask. There is a rubber gasket the fits into the cap to allow for a good seal. These bottles seal really well and will be ideal for decanting your favourite liquor or could even be used to store olive oil or vinegar. This flask has been thrown using a groggy terra cotta and decorated with a thick slip. It has been glazed with a blue-green ash glaze and fired high to 1220 degrees in an electric kiln.
All of my work is handmade by me in my studio at the Gaolyard Studios in St Ives, Cornwall.
